CITYLEAKS – THREE

In cooperation with Wuppertal art agencyArt is just a four letter wordCologne gallery Ruttkowski;68 presents the exhibition Three at Ehrenfeld's DQE-Halle. Design Quartier Ehrenfeld on Heliosstraße again features among this year's CityLeaks off-locations.

Within three weeks Three shows three artists with a common background in graffiti. Although today differing greatly in their individual approaches graffiti still has a strong influence on their current work and style. Among the three participating artists are Hendrik 'ecb' Beikirch who exhibits portrait works on canvas, for whom he draw inspiration from longtime photo series Vandals by Cologne photographer Nils Müller; Cope2 whose pieces culminate in true explosions of colour as well as Troy Lovegates who guides us into a magic fantasy world with his surreal characters. In its entirety Three presents an impressive range of contemporary urban art positions rotted in graffiti.
